Hello, Readers! Clevenger here. Boy, oh boy… we’ve got some things going on!

We are pushing HARD to get “War of Night” ready for production! The final few edits are being done on Chapters 40-42 (just some clean-up). Line edits have been done for EVERY chapter up to 39 (Greyson’s getting Chicago Style). And I’ve been hard at work getting our interior layout ready for print.

We are going at it intensely to get the book available in Presale for June! Pride month is coming up, and we really want to see our little fledgling get out with some “preview” and “sample chapters” available for everyone to see. It’s a hard process, but so rewarding!

In addition to all the work above, Greyson’s still writing NON-STOP! He’s completed the working premise of his YA Horror Novel (which I’m 50% through), and he’s about a third of the way through his next book. “Ghosting Myself” (working title) is going SO well! I’ve been able to keep up with it chapter by chapter as he releases them, providing developmental edit feedback as he goes. We are so excited to see Sainan Books expand beyond our original series and take on some different genres and themes.

Which leads me to…

Greyson’s tricked me yet again!

Without meaning to, I’ve outlined and plotted out my first solo project! “QueenFall” (working title) will be a murder mystery set in a fantasy world (maybe the first “Sainan” book that’s not part of the Manticore story arc) and will pull readers through a series of twists and turns while Bersan, our main character, investigates a failed assassination attempt against the King. Greyson just asked a few “prodding” questions, and suddenly I’m working on my “murder board!”

All in all, May is a busy month. Parent, writer, author, and my day job duties have got me feeling pretty thin… but I’m still plugging along. We cannot WAIT to get “War of Night” to market and let all of you (who have not already beta read) experience our story for the first time!

Thank you all, and until next time…

Be kind.

E. Scott Clevenger
