The Busy Brutal Business of Book

Hello, Readers! Clevenger here. A day late on my post this month, but it’s because of all the things going on. You see, when you begin, you think that writing the book will be the hard part… turns out it’s the easy part.

So, what do we have?

Well, after months of being on the market, Greyson and I are taking the opportunity to revamp the “War of Night” and give our book baby a touch up. A new cover that more aligns with our original vision, some interior changes, and some additional artwork. It’s amazing! But it also means updating all our market options (Ingram, KDP, Kobo, etc.)

Putting together this cover was a personal triumph as I reached back into my artistic days. Hand drawing the artwork was something I wasn’t sure I could do… but it really worked!

We are also preparing to enter a few conventions in April, which will now be an opportunity to sell our overstock returns from vendor returns. (Sad face). So, to prepare, I visited Polar Vortex. I only wish I could have known about it in time to score a booth.

Combined with the responsibilities of the day job, being a husband and father, and completing Book 2… its been daunting. So, yeah… being an author takes a lot of work. Still worth it though!

Until next time,

Be kind.

Clevenger
